Account Settings
Click your username in the header to access your account settings. There are four tabs: Profile, Builder, Wallet, and Notifications.
Profile
Email. Your current email is displayed here. You can update it by entering a new address.
Password. Change your password by entering your current password, then the new one twice to confirm. The current minimum requirement is 12 characters.
Builder
Your builder profile is how other users see you on the Strategy Marketplace. This tab lets you set up your public identity as a strategy creator.
Avatar and Banner. Upload a custom avatar (2MB max) and profile banner (5MB max) to give your profile visual identity. Images are resized and converted to WebP automatically. If you don't upload, a letter circle and gradient are used as defaults. You can remove uploads to revert to defaults.
Display Name. The name shown on your strategy cards and creator page. This can be different from your username.
Tagline. A short one-liner (120 characters) that appears under your name on marketplace cards and your profile page. Something like "Momentum trader since 2019" or "Algorithmic strategies for sideways markets."
Bio. A longer description of yourself and your trading approach (up to 2000 characters). Subscribers see this on your creator page.
Social Links. Add your website, X/Twitter, Discord, and YouTube URLs. These appear as clickable icons on your creator profile page. All links must start with https://.
Trading Focus Tags. Select from a fixed list of trading specialties (spot, margin, futures, scalping, swing trading, etc.). These appear as badges on your profile and help users find you in the creator directory.
Show Earnings. Toggle this on to display your total earnings on your public profile. Subscriber count is always visible in your stats.
Public Profile. Toggle this on to make your creator page visible at /marketplace/creator/<your-slug>. When enabled, a link to your profile page appears below the toggle. When off, your strategies can still appear in the marketplace, but there's no dedicated creator page.
Click Save Profile to save your changes.
Wallet
BrighterTrading has a built-in Bitcoin wallet system used for strategy subscription fees. If you subscribe to another user's public strategy, fees are deducted from your wallet credits.
Fee Address. A platform-controlled Bitcoin address (Testnet or Mainnet depending on the environment). Strategy subscription fees are deducted from credits associated with this address. You don't control the private key — the platform manages it for instant fee deduction.
Sweep Address. A Bitcoin address that you control. When your fee address balance exceeds the cap (~$50), excess funds are automatically sent here. Set this to your own wallet address.
Spendable Credits. Your BTC balance available for instant fee deduction. This is a ledger balance — fees are deducted internally without needing an on-chain transaction every time.
Buttons:
- Withdraw — Send your credits to an external address
- View Keys — View the keys associated with your fee address
- Test Credit — Add a small test credit (useful for verifying the system)
Recent Activity. A table showing recent wallet transactions: deposits, fee deductions, sweeps, and withdrawals.
Notifications
Control how and when you receive alerts from the platform.
Do Not Disturb. Suppress all notifications for a period: Off, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, or Until Tomorrow.
Alert Channels. Fine-grained control over where each type of alert is delivered:
| Alert type | Panel | Sound | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signals | Always | Optional | — |
| Trades | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Errors | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Margin | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Strategy | Always | Optional | — |
Panel alerts appear in the Alerts panel on the right sidebar. Sound plays an audio notification. Email sends to your registered email address.
